How to Start
Step 1: What is This?
Welcome to Dragonball Old School, a limited text-based roleplaying game inspired by the Dragon Ball universe.
It is a self-contained adventure that requires no staff; updates and changes are applied in real time.
Stories only require 300 words, though offer extra rewards for every additional 300 words.
Activies such as training stats, learning techniques, earning money through jobs, and shopping for items are done by interacting with the map daily.
It is intended to be geared towards people who want to login for 10-30 minutes a day and unwind, though anybody who wants to tell a story can enjoy it.
It is not a replacement for ADBZ; you can roleplay on both using the same roleplays.
It is only meant as an option for those who do not have the time any longer, yet still want to be involved in the game.
Step 2: Register an Account
To begin, head to the Homepage and click the Register button. You’ll be asked to enter a desired username and password. Your password is securely encrypted, and currently there is no way to retrieve or reset it, so be sure to write it down somewhere safe.
Step 3: Log In
Once registered, return to the homepage and enter your credentials in the login section. If this is your first time logging in, you’ll be redirected to a setup screen.
Step 4: Setup Screen
On this screen, you’ll have the option to enter your Discord username and select up to four colors (such as #00FF00
).
These are optional and can be added later by contacting staff through the
Feedback Page or on the Discord.
The colors you choose will allow you to format your post text when editing, letting you express your character's style visually. The discord name will allow staff to set you up to receive post notifications when writing with others.
Step 5: Select a Character
Finally, you’ll choose a character from the available canon list.
Step 6: Learn How to Play
Once your profile is set up, you’re ready to begin your journey. Head over to the How to Play page to learn the rules of the game, how to train, write posts, and level up.
